iPhone Stuck on the Logo or Won't Turn On? Board Repair in Kollam

Symptoms we repair

• Stuck on the logo, or showing it, going black and starting again (a boot loop)
• Restarts every few minutes, even while you're using it
• Completely dead: no response to the charger or the buttons
• Shows the charging symbol but never starts
• Black screen, but it still rings, vibrates or gets warm
• Stuck in recovery mode, or a computer restore fails with an error
• Started after an update, a drop or a spill

A restart every few minutes is often caused by a part the phone can't detect, such as a sensor on a flex cable. That is often a smaller job than a board fault, and diagnosis finds out which it is.

Before you bring it in

• Don't restore or update it through a computer if your data isn't backed up. A restore erases the phone.
• Try a force restart once. On iPhone 8 or later: press and release volume up, press and release volume down, then hold the side button for about 10–15 seconds or until the logo appears. On iPhone 7, hold volume down and the side button together; on older models, hold the home and power buttons together.
• Try a different charger and cable you know are good, and leave it charging for a while.
• If it got wet, switch it off and don't charge it. See water damage repair.
• If none of that works, stop there. Repeated attempts won't help and can drain what's left in the battery.

How we diagnose it at Alfa-Fix Central

We measure how much power the board draws when you press the button. That tells us whether a power line is shorted, whether the processor is starting, or whether it stops partway through booting. Then we trace the power lines under the microscope to the part that has failed.

We name the failed line or IC and tell you before any work. Then you get the price, and nothing is repaired until you say yes.

Why repair the board instead of replacing it

• Your data is on that board. An iPhone's storage is soldered to the logic board and encrypted to its processor. A replacement board starts empty.
• Face ID and Touch ID are tied to your board. They are paired to the board the phone came with, and swapping the board breaks that pairing.
• You pay for the fault, not a whole board. A boot fault usually comes down to a specific failed component, and fixing that is a smaller job than replacing the board.

What happens to your data

If the phone was never erased, repairing its own board is the route that can bring your photos, chats and contacts back. Once it boots, you unlock it with your passcode as usual. We can't promise it for every fault. If the data matters more than the phone, tell us at the start and see data recovery.
